Death of Benhadad

Benhadad the king of Syria was sick and told his officer, Hazael to go to Elisha to find out if he would recover from his disease. Hazael used the information from Elisha to be greedy and corrupt and to do evil to King Benhadad. Elisha was faithful and obedient to the LORD. Hazael was unfaithful greedy and evil. We must be prayerful and watchful not to allow our greed to corrupt us into doing evil like Hazael did.

This lesson teaches obedience to the LORD is crucial. Remove all reasoning such as is hostile to the Christian faith and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. And capture your mind and thought to the obedience of Christ. Having a readiness to vindicate one’s right, do one justice that is to protect, defend, one person from another all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

The lesson we should learn is we can take things in our own hands or we can wait for the timing of the LORD. When the lepers decided they had nothing to lose and nothing to gain they made a decision. The Healing of Naaman

The healing of Naaman is a story most people know from their Sunday school days. Naaman was the commander of the Syrian army, and Syria was a traditional enemy of Israel. A young Israelite girl, undoubtedly captured in a raid on Israel, was a slave in Naaman’s house. She told her mistress that there was a prophet in Samaria, Israel’s capital, who could cure Naaman of his leprosy.
