Michal was the youngest daughter of King Saul. She loved David. Michal was caught between a fierce struggle between the man she loved, David, and her father, king Saul. She was used by her father as a trap in hopes that David would be killed. David did not marry her out of love but to become the son in law of the king. Eventually that love of Michal turned to despising David.
It is so comforting to know that the LORD God chooses who He want for the task He chooses. Have you noticed many times in the Bible, and in life, the LORD chooses unlikely people to do His work. That is so everyone will know that the work being done is the work of the LORD not the work of man. You need to remember those who are rejected of men are often beloved of the LORD.
The LORD does not choose workers because they are beautiful, smart, or even rich. The most important lesson we can learn from David as a Youth is that when the LORD choices a person to be in His service He does so by looking within the heart.
Bathsheba has many times been found guilty by association. Some say she was a little too willing to obey the order of the King. I would like to ask when anyone in history, let alone a woman, has ever had the choice to obey or disobey the King. We must always be aware that we can be blamed for those around us and can be found guilty by association.
