Jesus Loves the Little Children is an important lesson for children to understand. Children need to know they are loved in a hurting world. There is no greater love than the love of Jesus.
The LORD God appointed Kedesh in Galilee in Nount Naphtali as a city of Refuges. Kedish is on the shore of the Sea of Galilee approximately twelve miles from Tabor.
The Fish Gate which led out of the city toward the northwest. This would be one of the routes one would take to the coastal plain. The fish gate is on the north side of the city. It is through this Fish Gate fish were brought to the city from the Mediterranean Sea and the Sea of Galilee.
Jesus stood on the beach of the Sea of Galilee after His Resurrection, Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples were fishing. His disciples did not know it was Jesus. Jesus guided the disciples to catch a great number of fish then invited them to come and dine. Jesus was still teaching the disciples and caring for them just like He does for you…
Jesus and His disciples are in Bethsaida when the people brought a man to Jesus and called Jesus to touch this blind man. Jesus spit on his eyes and put his hands on this man. When the blind man was asked what he saw he said he saw men like trees walking. This has a very important lesson for us in our spiritual life. We must always keep our eyes on Jesus so He can lead us in our journey…
When Jesus and the disciple arrived in Gennesaret the fame of Jesus had got there before Him. The people there already had knowledge of Jesus, and they sent out into all that country round about to bring all those that were diseased. It takes faith and forgiveness to be healed. All healings are done for the Glory of the LORD not for the glory of man.
A great storm came up while Jesus was asleep. The disciples panicked and feared for their lives. Jesus rebuked the wind calmed the sea saying; "Peace! Be still!" Then the wind ceased and the seas calmed. Jesus said to them "Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?" The disciples were filled with great awe and said to one another "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?"
This miracle shows us Jesus has the authority and the power to command unclean evil spirits. They recognize His power and obey His commands. There is much evil in our world today. We need to be aware of it but not fear it. We have the authority to command evil out of our lives by commanding in the name of Jesus. We would simple say “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to get out.”
We live in a hurting world that is polluted with not only sickness and diseases it is also polluted with sin. The mother-in-law of Simon Peter helps us better understand the healing power of Jesus. Because Jesus healed Peter’s mother in law we know that Jesus has the authority to heal disease.
Andrew was best known as the disciple who brought others to Jesus. He is an example to us that we need to follow Jesus and introduce those we love most to Jesus. We need to live our lives in praise and continuous obedience to the teachings of Jesus. We need to always follow Jesus in everything we do in our lives. Andrew was the one who brought the lad when Jesus fed the five thousand.
