David’s Victory Over Saul

Just like Saul we sometimes hold on to grudges. David has been avoiding King Saul because he wanted to kill David. This lesson shows David returning goodness for evilness and this put Saul to shame. We should not repay good with evil. It is sad when we think we have a nature that can be chaotic revengeful, and wanting to return evil for evil. We sometimes forget we are in control of how we treat the people around us.

David Flees to the Wilderness

King Saul was going to kill David if it was the last thing he ever did. Saul followed wherever he heard David was hiding and followed him. David stayed one step ahead of Saul because David listened to the LORD God. David was under the protection of the LORD. Sometimes it looked and felt like David was all by himself but he wasn’t. Just like David we are under the protection of the LORD. All we have to do is…

David Fleeing From Saul

King Saul wanted David dead! He did not care how or who killed him Saul just wanted David dead. Saul was growing desperate in his hatred of David. He even went to his son Jonathan to murder David. That was not the plan or the Will of the LORD God. David had many people helping him. One was Jonathan who warned his beloved friend of the evil intentions of his father and he also interceded before Saul on David’s behalf.

Samson And Delilah

We are followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and must listen, trust and obey. Samson was chosen to rescue the children of Israel out of the hands of the Philistines. He should have concentrated more on his mission for the LORD instead of playing pranks and joking with his enemies. We must equally be careful to concentrate on the task that the Lord has given us to do instead of doing what we want to do.
