The Shunammite Woman’s Land Restored
This lesson teaches obedience to the LORD is crucial. Remove all reasoning such as is hostile to the Christian faith and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. And capture your mind and thought to the obedience of Christ. Having a readiness to vindicate one’s right, do one justice that is to protect, defend, one person from another all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Elisha warned the Shunammite woman there was going to be a famine in Israel and she should take her household somewhere else. She had listen to Elisha, the man of God, and gathered up her household and moved to the land of the Philistines for seven years. She was rewarded he obedience by receiving all her she had before, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.
2 Kings 8:1–6
Elisha was speaking to the Shunammite woman, whose son he had restored to life, telling her to arise, and go with her household, and dwell whosesoever you cannot dwell; for the LORD has called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.
The Shunammite woman did what the man of God, Elisha, had told her to do. She went with her household, and dwell in the land of the Philistines seven years.
It was after the seven years that the Shunammite woman returned out of the land of the Philistines and went to unto the king cry out for her house and for her land.
The king talked with Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, asking him all the great things that Elisha had done. Gehazi told the king how Elisha had restored a dead body to life, and the woman whose son had been restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land.
When the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

The LORD God set before His people a blessing and a curse. A blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, and a curse, if you will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God. We are to turn aside out of the way the worshiping of other gods which we have not known. (Deuteronomy 22:26-28).
