Florence Nightingale“In the Eyes of the LORD God”

It can be said that “In the Eyes of the LORD God” is the example Florence Nightingale encouraged us  to live in love for mankind, with peace of the LORD, and respecting your neighbors as yourself. Remembering we are the ones that are to give the praising and give Glory unto the LORD God when we follow His ways chosen for us by the LORD.

We need to be faithful to the LORD. Jesus gives us an example of this in the parable of the talents. Jesus used exactly the same words to praise that servant who had used wisely the five talents as he did when he commended the servant who had used wisely only two talents. The one who had received five talents came and brought other five talents more. His lord said to him: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord.” When the man who had received two talents came and told his lord he had given him two talents he had also gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, “well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter you into the joy of your lord.” (Matthew 25:20–23 KJV).

“In the Eyes of the LORD God” also is a sign to give direction, gives enormous knowledge and care. “In the Eyes of the LORD God” are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. (Psalms 34:15 KJV). “In the Eyes of the LORD God” in general are symbols of His awareness. (Hebrews 4:13 KJV). Noah found grace “in the eyes of the LORD”. (Genesis 6:8). Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. (Proverbs 3:7 KJV).  The LORD has chosen is His people. He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. (Deuteronomy 32:9-10 KJV).

It should be our goal that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. The eyes of your understanding that is mind, i.e. spirit, way of thinking and feeling (Strong. 2001. #1271) being enlightened which is to cause something to exist and thus come to light and become clear to all (Strong. 2001, #5461); that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (Ephesians 1:18-19 KJV).  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. (Psalms 19:8 KJV).

When talking about “In the Eyes of the LORD God “or the apple of His eye it is important to understand this is a symbol of how much we are cared for by the wisdom of the LORD God; it is divine care.  We are to take no thought for our life. Not what we shall eat, or what we shall drink, not for our body, what we shall put on. All we have to do is look at the fowls of the air; they do not sow nor do they reap, they do not gather their food into the bars. Yet our heavenly Father feeds them. We are much better than they are. Whenever we think about our clothes we should first consider the lilies of the field, and how they grow.  The lilies of the field do not work nor do they spin. Again if our Father clothes the grass of the field which is here today, and tomorrow is cast into the oven. We cannot be of little faith because our Father in heaven will clothes us more. We need to recognize the divine care we receive from our Heavenly Father and not be concerned about what we shall eat or what we shall drink neither shall we be worrying about how we shall be clothed. Our loving caring Heavenly Father knows that we have need of all these things. We first need to seek the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto us. We should not take thought for tomorrow; for the tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself. (Matthew 6:25–34 KJV). We are told to casting all our care upon Him; for He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). We are told not to be anxious and not to be troubled by any troubles; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto the LORD God. The peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. (Philippians 4:6-9 KJV).
