Enterprise Baptist Association Church

The Enterprise Baptist Association corresponds with the United Baptists. Their worship service is more open than the Old Regular Baptists. There are a large number of independent associations that exist apart from the Old Time Baptists and are normally found in rural areas. They are commonly moderate Calvinists.

History

The Enterprise Baptist Association is made up of several old fashioned country churches. They were organized in 1894 in Enterprise, Kentucky. The original founders attempted to improve the spiritual moral and social condition of their different communities.

Belief

The Enterprise Baptist Association believes in one true and living God in the form of the Father and Son and Holy Ghost. They believe they are equal in essence, in glory and in power.

They believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that sinners are justified by the grace of God received through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. They believe in the resurrection of the dead for both the just and the unjust. They believe in the eternal punishment of the wicked. They believe Jesus Christ is an Advocate with the Father and the the propitiation for the sins of the whole world.

The Enterprise Baptist Association believes Scriptures of the Old and the New Testaments are the inspired Word of God. They believe the Word of God is the rule of faith and practice. They believe the Gospel is the power of God unto Salvation to everyone that believes. They believe the Gospel commands it to be preached to every creature and it is man who is responsible for the method it is heard.

They believe the Church of God is composed of people who have been partakers of the Holy Ghost. They believe those who have received remission of sins are prepared for Baptism. They believe Baptism is only done by full immersion in water. They believe the Lord’s Supper and the washing of the Saint’s feet are ordinances and are to be observed by the Church until the Second Coming of Christ.

The Enterprise Baptist Association believes there is only one true Church and every member is heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. They believe there is no member of His Church that will ever perish.
