Abomination of Desolation

The more we know, the more we are prepared then the more we are not surprised when the Abomination of Desolation happens. We can get more clarity by seeing what the Bible says. Matthew 24:15 tells us the Abomination of Desolation specifically is spoken of by Daniel, the Prophet. The Abomination of Desolation in the first 3 ½ years tells of the great power held by lucifer.

Matthew Daniel Revelation

What the Bible tells us:
Before the abomination of desolation

The gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the entire world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Then we shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand) (Matthew 24: 14-15).

When you shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that reads understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains. (Mark 13:14).

And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed or surrounded with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is near. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there into. (Luke 21:20).

Now we know that the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the entire world before the abomination of desolation. When we see Jerusalem surrounded with armies this also is before the desolation but it is close. When we see the abomination of desolation, which is something that does not belong standing in the holy place. The holy place is the rebuilt Jewish Temple.

Abomination of Desolation: FIRST 3 1/2 YEARS:

lucifer will use greatness, and might and strength to form a compact (formal agreement) with people. The people will be united in an alliance (a merging of efforts and interests by persons) and conspiracy (a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, evil purpose) with lucifer for 7 years. (Daniel 9:27).

lucifer will establish a powerful force to represent him. The mighty forces will stand on lucifer’s inheritance. They will expect to share in lucifer’s portion (fate, destiny), birthright (the right and privilege which a person is entitled by birth), and heritage (that which comes or belongs to one by reason of birth). (Daniel11:31). lucifer’s power, body, mind, estate and honor will increase with intensity. (Daniel 8: 10-12).

What will lucifer, satan, son of perdition, the great red dragon, that old serpent Do?

The Bible identifies the great dragon who was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and satan, which deceived the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:9). The dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil, and satan. (Revelation 20:2).

lucifer will attempt to exalt his throne above the angels of God. (Isaiah 14:12-14). The spiritual inhabitants of heaven will see his magnified illumination. lucifer will even magnify himself to our Lord Jesus Christ. (Joshua 5:14-15).

lucifer and his forces will pollute (to make morally unclean, defile, desecrate), the sanctuary of strength (the temple) and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that makes desolate. (Daniel 11:31).

lucifer and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. (Daniel 8:11)

lucifer will cast 1/3 of all the spiritual inhabitants and angels to the earth. (Revelation 12:3 and Daniel 8:10-12).

lucifer will abuse, oppress and trample the fallen spiritual inhabitants and angels under his feet. The LORD God will cast lucifer out of heaven. (Daniel 8:11 and Isaiah14:12-23).

lucifer will stand before the Jews at their Temple, awaiting the coming of Jesus Christ (Revelation12:3).

With the daily temple sacrifices stopped the abomination of desolation is set up after 3 1/2 years.

As a result:

The LORD God will not meet or speak with His priests at the temple. The LORD God will not meet with the children of Israel at the temple. The tabernacle will not be sanctified by the glory of the LORD God. (Daniel 9:27-; Daniel 11:31).

And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days or 3 ½ years. (Daniel 12:11).

lucifer will cause a disgusting, idolatrous, detestable filth to spread over the temple, causing desolation, devastation and waste. This filth will continue to spread unto the Temple is completely destroyed and utterly consumed. Then lucifer will pour his filth on the ruined people.

Paul tells us we must not be shaken in mind, or be troubled neither by spirit not by word, by letter as the day of the Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there comes a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Jesus told us all this in Matthew. Jesus did not hold back anything so He might be revealed in His time. For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now hold fast or hold secure will hold fast or secure, until he is taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12).

We should remember therefore how we have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore you shalt not watch, Jesus Christ will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour Jesus will come upon you. (Revelation 3:3).
