What is the Role of a Virtuous Woman?
Today our society has lost all perspective of the role of a virtuous woman. She has become the laughing stock of the more sophisticated, the worldlier woman. These worldly women claim they can get anything they want through their perversions. They create their men to become weak, pathetic, frail cowards who have lost their way. The role and importance of a virtuous woman has been lost in the perversions of sex, self pleasures, and power this world has dictated and called the way of life.
Until women can get past the dictates of worldliness there can be no hope for women becoming a good wife, mother, or nurturer. Without the virtuous woman this world can not survive. It takes moral integrity to show moral goodness and righteousness.
Proverbs 12:4 tells us A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband. have to be taught, encourage and developed into a virtuous woman.
A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband, first she has to become a wife to a man who is capable of becoming a man. Young girls have to be taught, encourage and developed into a virtuous woman. They must gain the accomplishments of honor, uprightness, moral, conscientious and respectable qualities. These are not obtained without a role model. Before we can talk about a wifeís role we must first establish the role of a virtuous woman to better understand the role of a wife.
There are three basic good traits required to begin the steps of being a virtuous woman. These moral fibers are developed through many years of training, observations and development provided by a mother and grandmother who are dedicated to the LORD God, and have experienced the love of Jesus Christ. Without experiencing the love of Jesus then there can be no understanding of love.
Without love there can be no virtue. The dedication, obedience, loyalty, and a trust in Christ is the purpose a woman develops the virtuous spirit. To grow into a helpmate for her husband, leading and guiding him into the greatness he can become; never tiring of pointing her husband in the right direction always keeping Christ in the center of all. The virtuous woman keeps her man on his feet always walking and growing toward Jesus and His will.A good trait of a virtuous woman includes many different aspects of good moral character these are the three most important:
Obedience: Having compliance, a willingness to yield to the needs of others; being obedient to the will of the LORD God. Taking the example of Jesus and emulating His teachings and being obedient to Christ. Being obedient to the faith so many maybe be lead to know righteousness. A virtuous woman has confidence that the obedience she knows comes from the personal relationship she has with Jesus Christ and she is obedient because of that knowing and loving of Him.
Loyalty: Always first and foremost the virtuous woman owes her loyalty to the LORD God and Jesus Christ. The first example of loyalty comes within the family as a young growing child. The faithfulness, commitments and obligations are developed as the virtuous young girl grows into adulthood. Later in a young womanís life she will also owe loyalty and devotion to her husband and her children as well.
Modesty: A virtuous woman should show a freedom from vanity, which is described as nothingness, and free from being ostentation. There should be an avoidance of any kind of a show of wealth, or the importance of anything that would be used to display her superiority over others. She should refrain from boastfulness, being egotistic, or showing self-importance. All times the virtuous woman should display a decency of behavior, speech and dress. It is through the act of being modest that the true inner essence of a virtuous woman comes shinning through.
That inner beauty, or goodness, does not need gold or pearls to assimilate the moral integrity which all virtuous woman strife for.
Man needs a virtuous woman as a helpmate, a woman who can help represent him in all things. A man is only as good as the woman he chooses for his wife. She holds the power to guide and nurture him into being all he can be. She shares in his inmost part, that part that is dedicated to the glory of the LORD God. She must always make sure he is following that path of righteousness.
A virtuous woman needs to seek after purity, strength, integrity, compassion, honor, and wisdom. These traits do not just happen but a conscience effort has to be made to accomplish them. A virtuous woman does not just happen, but has to be taught and nurtured from childhood.
It takes a woman of the LORD God to influence girls to become virtuous woman for the LORD God. Her strength and honor are her clothing and her rejoicing is always there. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and her tongue is the law of kindness. She looks well to the ways of her household, and eat not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband will praise her in all that she does. Most of all a virtuous woman that fears the LORD shall be praised.
Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 11:11).
Seeking a Virtuous woman who is: Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Proverbs 31: 25-31
