Part two of Gideon tells how once more Gideon tests the LORD to make sure He really wanted Gideon to be the one who saves Israel. How are you testing the LORD?
When we find out whom Gideon is we will find out a lot about faith and the trustworthiness of the LORD God. The LORD is faithful and true to His children. We see that the children of Israel once again have gone on doing what they wanted to do and worshiped false gods. We need to take a look at our life and make sure we are not worshiping false gods in our lives. The LORD is faithful and trustworthy…
Christians fight every day to overcome enemies just like Joshua did. Once we give our lives to Jesus Christ we can gain a victory just like the children of Israel did over Jericho. We need to have faith and trust in the LORD and choose to follow Him and to serve Him all our lives. That is the only way the victory can be ours.
The Bible refers to “unclean Spirits” repeatedly. We will explore what “unclean spirits” are and what effect they have in our lives. This study will teach tells us not to believe every spirit, but we are to try the spirits whether they are of God.
The mother of a daughter with an unclean spirit is another woman of the New Testament who remains unnamed. She is identified as a Greek; this meant she was a Gentile woman and not a Jewess from Syrophenician by nation. She knew of Jesus and knew Jesus would have mercy on her and her child. Her persistence in seeking help from Jesus knowing He had the ability to heal her daughter is an attribute we should all hold on to.
Biblical hospitality is the love shown to strangers. The Bible shows great examples of hospitality in both the Old and New Testament. It is our duty as Women of Christ to share the warmth of our families with those strangers the Lord brings our way and puts in our path for His glory not ours.
We live in a hurting world that is polluted with not only sickness and diseases it is also polluted with sin. The mother-in-law of Simon Peter helps us better understand the healing power of Jesus. Because Jesus healed Peter’s mother in law we know that Jesus has the authority to heal disease.
First century Galilee Jewish Tradition can give us an insightful understanding of the New Testament women. It is believed that Mary lived in the first century in Galilee. Looking at the tradition of their period we can gain an insightful look at the times of Mary and better understand her.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a woman of integrity. Mary is an example for us to embrace trust, honesty, values and principles to follow as we journey through life. Her integrity has given us the courage and knowledge to follow the integrity of the Words of the Savior.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a strong, courageous, faithful loving mother. She experienced fully the calling of the LORD God and embraced the hardship that came along with it. She is a wonderful example for all Christian mothers to emulate.
