The life of Peter gives us great hope that we also can become a great disciple for our Lord Jesus Christ. Even when we lose faith, and are thoughtless and mean, even if we deny being a follower of Jesus there is still hope.
Andrew was best known as the disciple who brought others to Jesus. He is an example to us that we need to follow Jesus and introduce those we love most to Jesus. We need to live our lives in praise and continuous obedience to the teachings of Jesus. We need to always follow Jesus in everything we do in our lives. Andrew was the one who brought the lad when Jesus fed the five thousand.
The lesson “Jesus chooses His disciples” is a reminder of the importance of choosing friends wisely. Jesus prayed before choosing His twelve disciples that would carry on the teachings and witnessing of Jesus. Being followers of Jesus we also need to pray for friends.
“The Disciples of Jesus: The Friends of Jesus” talks about what a disciple is and what it takes to be a disciple of Jesus. Just like the disciples were chosen by Jesus children need to understand they also are chosen by Jesus to be His disciples.
This lesson is a wonderful reminder that children need to have special Bible verses hidden deep in their soul. Knowing the Words of God can help chase the devils away.
Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and asked John to baptize him in the Jordan River. Jesus told John that he wanted to be baptized to "fulfill all righteousness."
John was taught about the Lord God as a child. An angel had visited Zechariah while he was in the Temple of the Lord and told him that they would have a son who would important to God because he would tell everyone of the coming of the Messiah.
We see how Jesus grew up honoring his mother and father. This teaches us how we should all strive to grow up like Jesus growing in wisdom, stature, and in favor with the LORD.
When they arrived in Bethlehem, there was no place for them at the inn. They spent the night in the stable. That night the baby Jesus was born. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
