United Christian Church and Ministerial Association

The United Christian Church and Ministerial Association is a non-denominational ministry dedicated to promoting the cause of Jesus Christ through ministerial ordination, evangelistic crusades, multimedia presentations, Bible colleges, and missions world-wide. This Association is a multicultural, inter-church organization.

The United Christian Church and Ministerial Association was established and chartered in 1956 in Cleveland, Tennessee by Rev. H. Richard Hall. The United Christian Church association was formed to unite ministers of different fundamental and Pentecostal churches. It is an intra-church organization

The United Christian Church & Ministerial Association does license and ordain ministers worldwide. They recognize the calling of God upon men and women. Ministers of many nations are proclaiming the gospel worldwide, who are ordained through this Association.

History:

Founder of the United Christian Church and Ministerial Association was Rev. H. Richard Hall was born in Canton, North Carolina, and preached the Gospel for more than 60 years. After high school, he attended the Church of God of Prophecy Bible Training School and was ordained at the age of 24. He founded the United Christian Bible Institute and the Shield of Faith quarterly periodical.

He had served as the youngest state official for a major Pentecostal denomination when he became deeply convinced that GOD had a higher calling for him. He launched into a dynamic healing ministry that for the next sixty years would be marked by the most dynamic miracles. Rev. H. Richard Hall was considered a prophet with an amazing gift of healing, and revealed the secrets of hidden sins is what hindered them from GOD’s best, their diseases, as well as important events in their lives without having had any prior contact with them. Rev. H. Richard Hall traveled the United States and parts of the world preaching the Gospel, healing the sick and even raising the dead.

Rev. H. Richard Hall was the author of ten widely publicized booklets which support the mainline Pentecostal perspective that speaking in tongues is a sign of being baptized with the Holy Ghost. The United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believed that Rev. H. Richard Hall was a man likened unto Hiram, whom the King of Glory had called in, and assigned to do a specific work on the Holy Ghost Temple. (1 Kings 7:13-14). They believe him to be a man likened unto Naphtali because he gives goodly words. Through the direction of the Lord and yielding of himself, the ministry through Rev. H. Richard Hall has touched thousands of lives. Many lives were changed and established in their calling, through this ministry.

The Shield of Faith is their ministerial association’s publication. It is published every three months. The Shield of Faith brings a resume of the ministry. It is composed of sermons, reports, advertisements and revival schedules.

United Christian Bible Institute is a correspondence Bible Study Course of the Old and New Testament. It became an outreach of the United Christian Ministerial Association in 1972. United Christian Bible Institute has a resident College in Lagos, Nigeria.

Rev. H. Richard Hall was the founder and President. Don Warren, who started working with Brother Hall in 1953, is the current President of United Christian Church & Ministerial Association. United Christian Church & Ministerial Association is chartered in the State of Tennessee and operates as a church organization according to its By-Laws and Letter of Determination. There is an annual world-wide Ministers Conference and Camp meeting which is conducted in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Belief:

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of the heavens and the earth, and ruler of all.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. They believe that He lived upon the earth and suffered stripes under Pontius Pilate for our healing.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe Jesus was crucified, died, and was buried; and rose again the third day from the dead, ascended into the heavens, and is now sitting at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe in the Holy Ghost Spirit that was given at Pentecost as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ as evidenced by miracles, signs, and wonders.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe on the Holy Word of God that gives the highest hope for this world and the world to come. They believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe in the hereafter for all people. They believe in the ultimate triumph of righteousness, the resurrection from the dead, and life everlasting for the faithful. They believe in being born again by God’s Spirit and regeneration into a new life.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe in the forgiveness of sins, sanctification, and baptism of the Holy Ghost. They stand against that which is evil in the sight of the Lord. They stand against drunkenness, brawling, and riotous living. They believe the basic plan of God for man toward others is the Golden Rule.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe in the Ten Commandments as given to Moses. They believe in God Eternal, Infinite, and Unchangeable. They believe both the Old and New Testaments to be the Word of God. That God created the heavens and the earth by his own will. That salvation is for all that believe on the Name of Jesus.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe election, ordination, and predestination to be God’s Word. They believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only redeemer able to forgive sin. They believe in the Holy Ghost and its abode in the hearts of the redeemed. That the justification as given by faith, as received by one accepting Jesus Christ as his personal savior. That in all spiritual life imparted by the Holy Ghost, thus helping one to live Christ-like. They acknowledge the church to be the Bride of Christ, all born-again and baptized believers.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe in the sacraments: baptism, feet washing, and the Lord’s Supper.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe in two states of future existence: heaven, the final home of the redeemed; and hell, the final abode of the sinful.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe that the Lord adds to the Church daily such as should be saved. They believe in the different ministries or gifts of the Spirit: Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom, Faith, Healing, Miracles, Prophecy, Discernment, Tongues, and Interpretation of Tongues.

United Christian Church and Ministerial Association believe they ordain and license God-called Christians. That as one accepts Jesus Christ, they should join himself with the baptized believers and walk in newness of life.
