Turning Water Into Wine The First Miracle of Jesus

The very first miracle that Jesus did was at Cana at a wedding feast in Galilee. There Jesus turned water into wine. Children need to know with this first miracle Jesus performed the disciples saw and understood Jesus was indeed the Son of God.
John 2:1-11

Three days after the baptism of Jesus; He and His new disciples were invited to a marriage feast at Cana. Mary, His mother, was there and was excited to see Jesus and His disciples. There were many people celebrating the wedding.

Then there was no more wine and the guests had nothing to drink. Mary went to Jesus and told Him what had happened. She knew Jesus could do something and told the servants to do whatever Jesus told them to do.
Jesus saw there were set there six water pots of stone that was used to purifying or used for ritual washing for the Jews. Each of these six pots could contain about nine gallons of liquid.

Jesus told the servants to fill the water pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. Next the servants were told to draw out the water and take it to the governor of the feast, the person who was in charge of the wedding.
When the governor of the feast tasted the water he was shocked to find that Jesus had turned it into wine. He called the bridegroom and said how wonderful it was. He said that usually a host serves the best wine first but you have kept the really best wine to be served last.
