The Uniqueness of Jesus

The uniqueness of Jesus can be seen in the lives of His followers. Women of Christ, those who follow Him, are all unique ambassadors to show fellow women the teachings and the Ways of Jesus Christ using humbleness and the strength that comes from Him.

The uniqueness of Jesus can be seen in the lives of His followers. The humbleness and strength in which they walk through their journey is unmistakable especially in our lives today. The account of Dorcas/Tabitha is an example of humbleness in following after the teachings of Jesus.

The New Testament speaks about being humble. Humble is to have a modest opinion of oneís self and devoid of all haughtiness. There are so many misconceptions of what it means to be humble. The “pretty perfumed christians” would have you believe that to be humble is to be quiet and demure and not to make waves. They try to convenes you that being humble means to bow down to man and follow the example that the world and most popular pretty people.
We as Women need to understand we are to humble ourselves to the LORD God. I cannot find one verse that says we who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ was to humble ourselves to man. We are to bow our knee to Jesus Christ not to man, especially non-followers of Christ. There is not verse that says we are to humble, or bow down to the worldly, the evil, or the common man. The Bible says to Humble yourself to the LORD God and Jesus Christ.

“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3-4). The word converted means “turned around”. “And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.” (Matthew 23:12). Abased is to be brought down.

“For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.” (2 Corinthians 12:20-21). Bewail is to grieve. Paul is speaking of himself when he comes again from prison he would find the church of Corinth in a sorry state and not living up to the example the disciple had set reflecting Jesus Christ. “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”(James 4:6). “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” (James 4:10). “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:” (1 Peter 5:5-6)

It is easy in this life to believe you are not worthy because that is what the television, magazine and the media tells you on a daily basis. This is because you do not measure up to the things and people of this world. You are not smart enough, pretty enough, have enough money in the bank, you do not belong to that special church, your family, friends or yourself do not measure up to the standards of this world. Women of Christ need to know and spread the message that they only need to only measure up to the standards of Christ, not of the world. It is up to us to send that message to those we love that we have a choice of belonging to his world or belonging to the kingdom of the LORD God. We cannot belong to both worlds.

There is a real division today between the ways of Christ and the ways of the world. The world is full of deceitfulness of riches that is choking out the Word and the ways of the LORD. If Jesus did not claim this world as His own why should we bend over backward to try to fit into a world that is going against the Will and the Ways of Jesus? When Jesus was on trial before Pilate He said;” My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” (John 18:36).

It is with great boldness we should renounce the dishonesty of this world, and walk away from the false witness that is in the world today. We need to be careful to handle the Word of God with honesty and not deceitfully. Women of Christ should be in their Bible daily to spread the truth and bring together these truths we discover to other women who follow after the LORD. The gods of this world has blinded the minds of those women who do not believe. To those women who have the Holy Spirit they know the truth and together you might strengthen each other in the power and strength of Jesus Christ. The uniqueness of Jesus can be seen in the lives of His followers. My life journey experience seem to always be in defending that Jesus Christ is real and we, as women, are wanted and loved by Him. We as women can do anything a man can do especially if the LORD is behind us. That does not mean I want to go dig a ditch or live without men in my life; it means that together we can both journey defending the LORD. We need to teach our daughter, nieces, aunts, mothers and fellow sisters, to walk in humbleness and strength as we all walk through this part of our journey through life with Him.
