King Saul wanted David dead! He did not care how or who killed him Saul just wanted David dead. Saul was growing desperate in his hatred of David. He even went to his son Jonathan to murder David. That was not the plan or the Will of the LORD God. David had many people helping him. One was Jonathan who warned his beloved friend of the evil intentions of his father and he also interceded before Saul on David’s behalf.

He should have concentrated more on his mission for the LORD instead of playing pranks and joking with his enemies. We must equally be careful to concentrate on the task that the Lord has given us to do instead of doing what we want to do.
