What Samson teaches Christian Men and Women About the Delilah’s of This World

The whole story of Samson and Delilah has more to teach us than just the characteristic of Delilah. It is not a story about love and romance it is a warning about getting involved with the enemy and thinking it is okay to embrace their life style. The story of Samson and Delilah is more about deception, greed, lust and then destruction. This lesson is for both the men and woman belonging to Christ.

Marrying Out of Your Faith and the Consequences

Intermarriage between different faiths has been a problem since the beginning of time. It is important to choose a mate who shares your faith and beliefs and who will support you in your spiritual journey through life. There needs to be a sharing of a common faith. There needs to be a sharing of the basic foundation of the LORD. We have been made a holy people unto the LORD and should not be unequally yoked together with an unbeliever.

Building a Relationship

Elizabeth was righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. We should practice being righteous and walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord. The only way Elizabeth could accomplish this was by building a lasting, trusting and faithful relationship with the LORD God.

What it really means to be Submitting

There are many conflicting messages regarding what it means of wives being submissive to their husbands. Ephesians 5:21-33 helps to clear up this misconception. Women are not door mats for their husband. Instead, husbands and wives are one in spirit. Men are to love their wives as he loves himself. Wives are to respect and give admiration to her husband. Together they should give glory and honor to the LORD God.
