Jesus was having dinner with one of the chief Pharisees on Sabbath day. They were trying to trick him again regarding healing on the Sabbath. Jesus healed a man with dropsy right in front of the lawyers and Pharisees. “For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day.” Jesus is proclaiming that He is the One who implements authority even over the rules, laws and regulations that govern the Sabbath day. He is the Son of God.
