Pomegranate Fruit and Tree
Pomegranates was used in the architecture of Solomon’s temple. Pomegranates was used on the skirt of the robe of the ephod. Pomegranates abound in Egypt and Canaan. Pomegranates was Drank as juice. Pomegranates are Cultivated in orchards and used as shade. Pomegranates was used in describing a great calamity. Pomegranates used as a blessing.
Pomegranates was used in the architecture of Solomon’s temple:
Solomon made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network which is the lattice-work ornament on the pillars, to cover the chapiters or the capital of a pillar that were upon the top, with pomegranates. And the chapiters upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, over against the belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about upon the other chapiter. And four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were upon the pillars. (1 Kings 7:18, 20, 42). The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work. (2 Kings 25:17). And four hundred pomegranates on the two wreaths; two rows of pomegranates on each wreath, to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were upon the pillars. (2 Chronicles 4:13). And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these. And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about. (Jeremiah 52:22-23).
Pomegranates was used on the skirt of the robe of the ephod:
Aaron was to wear the robe of the ephod and beneath the hem shall be made pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet. There was to be bells of gold so his sound should be heard when he goes in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he comes out, that he did not die. (Exodus 28:33-34; Exodus 39:24-26).

Pomegranates was Drank as juice:
Song of Solomon describes leading his love into the house of his mother, where she used to instruct him. He would cause you to drink of spiced wine, of the juice of my pomegranate. (Song of Solomon 8:2).
Temples are like pomegranates:
The Song of Solomon describes his fair love; the temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within the locks. (Song of Solomon 4:3).
Pomegranates are Cultivated in orchards and used as shade:
Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates with pleasant fruits, fragrant henna with spikenard. (Song of Solomon 4:13). So 7:12 Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves. Pomegranates was used in describing a great calamity:
Alas for the day! For the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come. The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languish; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men. They are instructed to gird themselves and lament. The priests shall howl, and the ministers of the altar shall lie all night in sackcloth. They were to sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD. (Joel 1:12-15).
Pomegranates used as a blessing:
The Pomegranates characterize the Exile and restoration of Israel. The vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you. (Haggai 2:19).
According to Pliny the Elder the Pomegranates was used for:
When the sour pomegranate is made into an ointment it is good for affections of the mouth, nostrils, and ears, dimness of sight, films upon the eyes, diseases of the generative organs, corrosive sores. Pomegranate rind, boiled in wine and applied, is a cure for chilblains. A pomegranate, boiled down to one third in thirty fluid ounces of wine, is a cure for griping pains in the bowels and for tape-worm. A pomegranate, put in anew earthen pot tightly covered and burnt in a furnace, and then pounded and taken in wine, arrests looseness of the bowels, and dispels griping pains in the stomach.
