Jesus Restores a Severed Ear
This miracle occurred on the night that Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot. It deals with an ear that was severed by. Jesus touched his ear and healed him by reattaching the ear. This healing is important because it was the last miracle that Jesus performed before going to the cross to sacrifice Himself for the sins of the world.

Jesus and His disciples were on the Mount of Olives after the Passover dinner unto a place called Garden of Gethsemane. He told His disciples he was going to go pray and for them to wait for Him and stay awake. Jesus went and prayed When Jesus roes up from prayer he found the disciples sleeping.
While Jesus was still speaking to the disciples a multitude came led by Judas. Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, was one of the twelve, who went before the multitude and betrayed Jesus with a kiss.
When disciples of Jesus saw what was going to happen, they said, Lord, should we strike with our swords? Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. (John 18:10).
Jesus answered Simon Peter and told him to leave the high priest’s servant alone. And Jesus touched his ear, and healed him. Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, and questioned why they came out, as against a thief, with swords and staves especially since Jesus was daily with them in the temple.
What Can Be Learned From This Lesson?
This healing is important because it was the last miracle that Jesus performed before going to the cross to sacrifice Himself for the sins of the world. When we think about it Jesus could have chosen to perform a miracle to avoid His approaching arrest. Jesus chose instead to help someone else without regard to His own needs. Jesus is indeed our precious Savior.
When we are in dangerous or perilous situations we need to remember that Jesus is in complete and absolute control of the situation.
We need to have faith in Him when our trials and tribulation happen. We need to pray and then pray some more. Trusting in our Savior in all things.
It took just a simple touch from Jesus and a severed ear had been restored. Even when this miracle was performed in front of the multitude, the same ones who had been following Him, they did not respond.
Jesus is our Lord and Savior and we can never forget His greatness and how much he cares for us. He gave up his earthly life for the forgiveness of our sins. We need to show the same loyalty to Jesus as He has shown to us.
We are to pray without ceasing you can never forget to give thanks for everything that has been given to you by the Lord. Give praise in your prayers and tell Jesus everything that is in your heart. This is the will of the LORD God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18).
