It is important for us to remember that with men things are impossible; but with the LORD God all things are possible.

Matthew 26:14- 25; Matthew 26:47-49; Matthew 27:3-5; John 13:26-32; John 18:2-6

Judas Iscariot is one of the twelve disciples. Judas Iscariot is first introduced in Matthew 10:4 along with Simon the Canaanite. Judas Iscariot, “who also betrayed him” is how he was referred.

Judas Iscariot went to the chief priests and ask them what they give him if he would deliver Jesus unto them. The chief priests offered Judas Iscariot thirty pieces of silver. It was from that time on that Judas Iscariot looked for opportunity to betray Jesus.

The time of the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus and ask Him where they should prepare for the Passover. The disciples did what they were ask to do for the preparation.

It was at the evening Passover dinner when Jesus told His disciple that one of they would betray Him. Jesus told them it would be the one that He dipped his hand with Jesus in the dish the same shall betray Him.

Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop which is morsel, when I have dipped it. And when Jesus had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. It was after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, what you do, do quickly.

John 13:26-32 stated after Jesus had identified Judas Iscariot he immediately went out. The other disciples at the table didn’t understand but thought since Judas Iscariot had the money bag that Jesus had ask him to go buy something needed for the feast of the Passover.

When they had sung a hymn, they went out into the Mount of Olives a place called Gethsemane. There Jesus prayed and the disciple slept. Then Jesus said His time had come and they left Gethsemane.

Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus gave them a sign, saying, whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

Judas Iscariot came to Jesus, and said, “Hail, master; and kissed him.” And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore have you come? Then came the chief priests and elders of the people, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

Then Judas Iscariot, which had betrayed Jesus, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the 30 pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying he had sinned in that he had betrayed the innocent blood. They would not take back the money so he cast down the 30 silver in the temple, and departed and went and hung himself.
