The Importance of a Human Jesus
It is important to understand and know that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Those that believe in Jesus hear His voice, and Jesus know them, and they follow Jesus. Jesus gives unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of the hand of Jesus.
This is love that we walk after the commandments of the LORD. “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” (2 John 1:6-7).
The Importance of a Human Jesus:
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14). Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of the LORD God. Those who do not confess that Jesus Christ come in the flesh is not of the LORD God, and this is the spirit of antichrist and is already in the world. Do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits to see if they are of the LORD God. There are many false prophets that have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:2). The Son of the LORD God, Jesus Christ our Lord, was made of the seed of David according to the flesh. And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. (Romans 8:3-4).
Purpose of a Human Jesus:
Reveal the Father: Do the Will of the LORD God: Jesus came down from heaven, not to do His own will, but the will of the LORD God that sent Him. It is the will of the Father that of all those He has given Jesus should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. Everyone that sees the Son, and believes on Him may have everlasting life, and Jesus will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:38-40). Jesus on His own can do nothing, as He hear, He judges, and His judgment is just, because Jesus seek not His own will, but the will of the Father which has sent Him. (John 5:30). Jesus prayed in the garden of Gethsemane to His Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Him: nevertheless not as Jesus willed, but as the LORD God wills. A second time Jesus went to pray to His Father, if this cup may not pass away from Him, except He drink it, the will of the Father would be done. (Matthew 26:39, 42; Mark 14:36; Luke 22:42).
Fulfill prophecy: Jesus went into the synagogue at Nazareth on the Sabbath, to read. Jesus read in the book of Isaiah where it is written “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Jesus closed the book and said unto those there that this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. (Luke 4:17-21). Jesus was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely He has borne our grief, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shears is dumb, so He open not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was He stricken. He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; he has put Him to grief: when you shall make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:3-12). Jesus did many miracles and signs before the disciples and multitude yet they did not believe on Jesus. This was done so the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? (John 12:38).
Die for our sins: Jesus Christ, who self-bore His own self our sins in His own body on the tree that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes we were healed. (1 Peter 2:24). Jesus Christ has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:18). Jesus was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him there is no sin. That we might be made the righteousness of the LORD GOD in Jesus. (1 John 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:20-21). Yet it pleased the LORD God to bruise Jesus; He has put Him to grief: when the LORD God made His soul an offering for sin, Jesus shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall His righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will the LORD God divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the Transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:10-12).
Fulfill all righteousness: Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan and unto John the Baptist to be baptized of him. John the Baptist forbade Him. Jesus said to allow the baptism to fulfill all righteousness. (Matthew 3:15). The offense of Adam made the judgment came to all men to condemnation, by the righteousness of Jesus came the free gift upon all men justification of life. Because of one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, by the obedience of one, many be made righteous. (Romans 5:17-19).
Reconcile the world: All things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation. The LORD God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). We were enemies of the LORD GOD and were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. We have joy in the LORD God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (Romans 5:10-11). Jesus is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us and the LORD God. Jesus has abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace. That He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby. (Ephesians 2:14-16). Jesus having made peace through the blood of His cross, Jesus has reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. We that were sometime alienated and enemies in our mind by wicked works, yet now has Jesus reconciled. (Colossians 1:20-21).
Become our high priest: Jesus Christ was made in the likeness of His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining the LORD God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. (Hebrews 2:17). Jesus Christ is a great high Priest that has passed into the heavens. Our high priest can be touched with the feelings of our infirmities. Jesus was tempted like we are, yet He is without sin. (Hebrews 4:14-15). Every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to the LORD God, that they may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. Jesus has compassion on the ignorant, and on those that are out of the way, Jesus Himself also was surrounded with infirmity. Jesus Christ did not glorify Himself to be made an high priest, but the LORD God made Him an high priest. Jesus is the priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Jesus had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto the LORD GOD, who was able to save Him from death. Though Jesus was the Son, He learned obedience by the things He suffered, and being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all those that obey Him; called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 5:1-10; Hebrews 6:20). The priestly order of Melchizedek: It was Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed Abraham. Abraham gave a tenth part of all his spoils to Melchizedek. Melchizedek was first interpreted King of righteousness, then King of Salem, which is, King of peace. Without father, mother, descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abides a priest continually. Jesus is a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec, He sprang out of the tribe of Judea, which is not one on the tribes Moses spoke of concerning the priesthood. Jesus has become a better testament. Jesus is able to save those who come unto the LORD God by Him, because Jesus makes intercession for them. Jesus did this when He offered up Himself for our sins. (Hebrews 7:1-27). The main point is that we have a high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens. A minister of the sanctuary, and the true tabernacle, which the LORD God pitched not man. Every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices, which Jesus also offered. (Hebrews 8:1-4). Jesus Christ came as a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation. Neither by the blood of goats and calves, by His own precious blood Jesus entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh. How much more shall the blood of Jesus Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to the LORD God. (Hebrews 9:11-14).
Become our example: Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example, that we should follow His steps. Jesus who did not sin, nor was there guile found in His mouth. When Jesus was reviled, He did not revile, when He suffered, He did not threaten, Jesus committed Himself to Him that judges righteously. (1 Peter 2:21-23). Those who abide in Jesus are under obligation himself also to walk as Jesus walked. (1 John 2:6).
Circumcision: When Jesus was eight days old, it was time for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before He was conceived in the womb. (Luke 2:21). Circumcision is the sign of the covenant made between Abraham and the LORD God. The LORD God gave unto Abraham, and his seed after him the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and He would be their God. Every man child among them shall be circumcised as a token of the covenant between them and the LORD God. (Genesis 17:1-14).
Growth: When Jesus was twelve years old His parents went to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. When Mary and Joseph left to return to Nazareth, Jesus had tarried behind in Jerusalem and Mary and Joseph did not known it. Three days later they found Jesus in the temple sitting in the midst of the doctors (teachers), both hearing them, and asking questions. The understanding of Jesus astonished all who heard him. Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:41-52). Jesus was questioned about the resurrection by the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection. Jesus told them they are mistaken, and do not know the scriptures, nor the power of the LORD God. In the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. The LORD God is a God of the living not of the dead. The multitude who heard Jesus were astonished at His doctrine. (Matthew 22:23-33). When Jesus and His disciples came into Nazareth, Jesus began to teach on the Sabbath in the synagogue, many who heard Him were astonished at His wisdom and His mighty works. They believed Jesus to be the son of the carpenter Joseph. Jesus said unto them that a prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among His own relatives, and in His own house. (Mark 6:1-4).
Genealogy: It is important to know and understand there is a lineage of Jesus; He left his footprints on this world. The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren. Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram; And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon; And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias; And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa; And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias; And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias; And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias; And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon: And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel; And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor; And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud; And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. (Matthew 1:1-17).
The Human nature of Christ Manifested in:
Hunger: Jesus was led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. He had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward hungered. When the tempter came to Jesus, he told Jesus if He was the Son of God, He could command that the stones be made bread. Jesus answered the devil that it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:2). Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the corn; and His disciples were hungered, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. The Pharisees saw them and told Jesus His disciples did that which was unlawful to do on the Sabbath. Jesus reminded the Pharisees what David did, when he was hungered, and they that were with him, when David and those with him entered into the house of God, and ate the showbread which was only for the priests to eat. Jesus told the Pharisees that in this place is one greater than the temple. (Matthew 12:1-6; Mark 2:25; Luke 6:3).
Thirst to languish: To become weak, weary and faint. To lose vigor and vitality, lacking in spirit or interest. Intense and greedy desire to satisfy a need and craving toward the LORD God: Jesus said blessed are those which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6). Jesus is the bread of life: those that comes to Him shall never hunger; and he that believes on Jesus shall never thirst. (John 6:35). The gift of the LORD God is the gift of living water. Whosoever drinks of this water shall never thirst again. Whoever drinks of well water shall thirst, whoever drinks of the water that Jesus give them shall never thirst and a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (John 4:10-14). If any man thirst let him come to Jesus, and drink. He that believes on Jesus, as the scripture has said, out of His belly shall flow rivers of living water. (John 7:37-38). If your enemy hungers, heed him, if he thirst, give him drink, for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head. (Romans 12:20). When Christ comes to reign in righteousness in the last days. The vile person will speak villainy (foolishness, moral wickedness), and his heart will work iniquity and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. Specifically the vile person will identify those persons who are distressed from not being fed by the LORD God, and he empties their soul of the capacity for survival and continuation of meaningful existence in the spiritual real. When a vile man cause the drink to fail in a thirsty person, he prevents the LORD God’s Work, Will, and Strength from restoring and renewing the spiritual soul and natural body of the man. As a result, the thirsty person becomes more weakened, weary and faint. His spiritual soul is unable to be filled and eventually, the capacity for survival and continuation of meaning full existence in the spiritual ream is prevented. (Isaiah 32:6).
Weariness (faint, thirsty, weary): The great invitation that Jesus offers His followers it to come to Him all that labor and are heavy laden, and He will give them rest. Take the yoke of Christ upon you and learn of Jesus, Jesus is meek (gentle), and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest in your soul. The yoke of Jesus is easy, and His burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30). Do not be deceived. The LORD God is not mocked (to turn up the nose or sneer at, deride). Whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. Those that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but those that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Do not be weary in doing well, (that is to do good, excellent in its nature and characteristics, and therefore well adapted to its ends), for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint. (Galatians 6:7-9).
Sleep: Jesus and the disciples entered into a ship. There arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but Jesus was asleep. The disciples came to Jesus and awoke Him afraid they would perish, the ask Jesus to save them. Jesus told the disciples they had little faith. Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. (Matthew 8:23-27). The book of Mark conveys Jesus Quieting the Sea in this way: Jesus told His disciples in the evening “Let us pass over unto the other side” after sending away the multitude [The important of sending the multitude away is that death must be faced without the crowd of people]. The disciples took Jesus as He was in the ship. There were also with Jesus other little ships. The symbolism of “Passover” is death of a Christian who has embraced the Feast of the Passover and his moving directly from natural life to eternal life. They traveled in a ship to pass over. Sea is the symbolism of the death, the place between natural life and the kingdom of the LORD God. There arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. Jesus was in the stern of the ship, asleep on a pillow. The disciple woke Jesus afraid they would perish. Jesus arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, “Peace, be still.”And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Jesus ask the disciples why they were so fearful, and how it was they had no faith. The result of putting away (rejecting) faith according to (1 Timothy 1:19). When one is shipwrecked one is lacking faith and a good conscience. The definition of shipwrecked is the destruction or loss of a ship. The definition of faith is a belief which is not based on proof. The definition of a “good conscience” is the sense of what is right or wrong in one’s conduct or motives impelling one toward right action. The complex of ethical and moral principles that controls or inhibits the actions or thoughts of an individual. The definition of ship in the spiritual sense is a vessel for transportation across death. Jesus has the ability to instruct the wind to be still. Just as the LORD God sent lucifer to test Job, He sends the wind (evil) to test man. The action of Jesus in reprimanding with stern disapproval the wind that would approach one of His servants. Jesus caused evil to cease and death becomes calm. The disciples were fearful of the awesome power of Christ Jesus authority over both evil and death itself. (Mark 4:37-41).
We are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. Those that sleep, sleep in the night; and those that are drunken are drunken in the night. Those that are of the day, should be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. The LORD God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. (1 Thessalonians 5:5-9). All things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever does make manifest is light. Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light. Walk circumspectly (exactly, accurately, diligently), not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:13-16).
Suffering: Jesus to show unto His disciples, that He must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. (Matthew 16:21; Matthew 17:12; Mark 8:31; 9:12; Luke 9:22; 17:25). Jesus told His disciples while He was with them all the things that must be fulfilled, which were written in the Law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Jesus. Jesus opened their understanding, so they might understand the scriptures saying; It is written, and thus it behooved (it is necessary, there is need of, it behooves, is right and proper) Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day. (Luke 24:44-47; Acts 3:18; 17:3). Jesus, Himself had to suffer being tempted, and was able to succor (to help, bring aid) those that are tempted. (Hebrews 2:18). Jesus in the days of His flesh, he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto the LORD God, who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His fear. Even though Jesus was the Son of the LORD God, He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. Being made perfect, Jesus became the author of eternal salvation unto all those that obey Him. (Hebrews 5:7-9). We have been called, because Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example, that we should follow His steps. When Jesus was reviled, He did not reviled, when He suffered, He did not threatened, He committed Himself to Him that judges righteously. (1 Peter 2:21-23). For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to the LORD God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:18). Forasmuch as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, we should arm ourselves likewise with the same mind: for He that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin. (1 Peter 4:1).
Death: We are buried with Jesus by baptism into death, just as Jesus was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, we also should walk in the newness of life, through Jesus Christ. Being united together in the likeness of the death of Jesus we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection. Those that are crucified in the flesh so the body of sin might be destroyed, and we should not serve sin. Those that are dead of the flesh is freed from sin. Being dead with Christ Jesus, we believe that we shall also live with Him. Knowing the Christ Jesus was raised from the dead and dies no more. Death has no more dominion over Jesus. Jesus died into sin once, in that He lives unto the LORD God. We are dead in sin but alive unto the LORD God through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:4-11). We are crucified with Jesus, and live, I do not live, but Christ lives in me. The life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20). The wages of sin is death. The gift of the LORD God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23). We which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. (2 Corinthians 4:11). The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death. To be carnally minded is death, to be spiritually minded is life and peace. The carnal mind is enmity against the LORD God, it is not subject to the law of the LORD God. Those that are in the flesh cannot please the LORD God. Because Christ Jesus is in us, the body is dead, because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Romans 8:2, 6-10). The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. (1 Corinthians 15:56).The last enemy that shall be destroyed by Jesus is death. (1 Corinthians 15:26). By the blood of His cross Jesus has reconciled all things unto Himself, whether they are things in the earth, or things in the heaven. We were sometime alienated and enemies in our mind by wicked works, yet now has been reconciled in the body of the flesh of Jesus Christ through death, to present us holy and un-blamable and un-reproveable in His sight. (Colossians 1:20-22).
Burial: Jesus was anointed at Bethany at the house of Simon, the leper. Jesus was in the house of an unclean person, which was the representation of a sinner. Jesus was prepared for burial in the sinner’s house before Jesus came to Jerusalem and before the agreement for His betrayal by Judas and the religious leaders were made. This shows that Jesus Christ was prepared to die in the place of a sinner, and his death was prepared before the evil plans for betrayal were laid. This is important because Christ died for the sinner. The evil doers were merely tools of satan to accomplish the crucifixion; unbeknownst to the devil and the religious leaders, the LORD God had already prepared Jesus for the upcoming events and established the true reason for his death. The woman in Bethany, whose name was Mary (John 12:3), poured the ointment spikenard on the body of Jesus for His burial. (Matthew 26:12). Mary took a pound of ointment and poured it on his head. That large amount of ointment covered his body and flowed down to his feet, thus Christ’s entire body was anointed and prepared for burial. Spikenard is a very costly ointment that cost over 300 pence. It had a very powerful and fragrant odor. (Matthew 26:6-13; John 12:3; Mark 14:3). Joseph of Arimathea begged for the body of Jesus for burial. And When Joseph had taken the body of Jesus, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher, and departed. (Matthew 27:59-60).
Resurrection: Jesus is the resurrection, and the life: those that believe in Him, though he were dead, yet shall he live. (John 11:25). The LORD God raises up the dead, and quickens (gives life to) them, even so the Son Jesus Christ quickens whom He will. Jesus can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father doing. (John 5:20-21).The Lord Jesus Christ came down from heaven, not to do His own will, but the will of the LORD God who send Jesus. The will of the Father is all those which He has given unto Jesus should not be lost but shall be raised up again at the last day. Everyone that sees the Son, and believes on Him may have everlasting life, and will raise them up at the last day. (John 6:38-40, 44). There were many who came out of the graves after the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, they went into the holy city, and appeared to many. (Matthew 27:53). The Resurrection from the dead neither marry, nor are given in marriage. Neither can they die any more, for they are equal unto the angels, and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. (Luke 20:27-36; Mark 12:18-23). Those that have done good, come forth unto the resurrection of life, and those that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:29). Jesus Christ was risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of those that slept. It was by man that death came, by man also came the resurrection of the dead. Every man in his own order, Christ the first fruits, afterward those that are Christ’s at His coming. Then comes the end, and He shall deliver up the kingdom of the LORD God, the Father, then He shall put down all rule and all authority and power, Jesus must reign, till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. (1 Corinthians 15:20-23). Those that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of the LORD God, and those who had not worshipped the beast, nor his image, and had not received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands, they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. (Revelation 20:5-6). By the Word of the Lord, those which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord Jesus, shall not prevent those which are asleep. The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Those which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17). All things work together for good to those that love the LORD God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:28-30). Jesus is the image of the invisible LORD God, He is the firstborn of every creature, the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the first born from the dead, that in all things He might have the preeminence. (Colossians 1:15, 18).
The Second Resurrection: John in Revelation saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. The dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. The sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:11-15). Those that hear the words of Jesus, and believes on the LORD God who sent Jesus has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. The Father has life in Himself; so has He given to the Son to have life in Himself. The LORD God has given Jesus authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of man. The hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Jesus Himself can of His own self do nothing: as Jesus hears, He judges: and His judgment is just; because Jesus seeks not His Own will, but the will of the Father which has sent Him. (John 5:24-30). Persons who lose faith and good conscience at the time of death (shipwrecked). (1 Timothy 1:19-20). Persons who have not embraced the Feast of the Passover. (Exodus 12:1-36). Persons who are dead; Persons in Hell (Revelation 21:1-8).
Important of the Human Nature of Christ Necessary:
Sinless-ness: Jesus was placed on earth to make known to the world to take away our sins. Jesus had no sin. (1 John 3:5). Before Jesus Christ we had no understanding of sin. Jesus was made to be sin for us by the LORD God. This was done that we might have the same righteousness of the LORD God that Jesus has in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:20-21). It is the LORD God and Jesus Christ who makes us aware of sin. Because we are aware of sin we can no longer pretend to be innocent. Ignorance of a sin really means a person appearing ignorant of sin is really deeply aware of his sin. Ignorance of sin does not mean that a sin is not present. A person that appears ignorant of sin, is actually allowing it to be covered by pretext of innocence. Once Jesus Christ speaks to a person, ignorant sin is brought to the forefront of a person’s awareness. People who hate Jesus and the LORD God hate them because they reveal sin. (John 15:22-24). It was the LORD God who wounded and bruised Jesus Christ. This was done for the chosen people’s rebellious sin and moral evil. When Jesus was stricken and afflicted by the LORD GOD He lifted the chosen people’s sickness and carried their pain. It was the responsibility of the welfare and safety of the chosen people the LORD God gave to Jesus. Because of this the sins are cured and made whole. The chosen people have moral evil because they went astray, scattered to their own desires and did not do what the LORD God willed. Jesus said nothing as He went through the torturous affliction before His crucifixion. He did not respond to His accusers because the persecutors were unable to hear or perceive His words. Jesus was beaten because of the transgressions of the chosen people because Jesus was sinless and not guilty of anything. Yet Jesus died and went to hell, just like the wicked, immoral, ungodly, condemned, bad, lustful and rich. Jesus could have avoided being crucified by lying, resorting to violence, and losing His righteousness. By maintaining His righteousness in the face of His death, He lost His physical, Spiritual, and gained eternal life. After His crucifixion the soul of Jesus Christ poured out of His body and He went into hell, and He was numbered with the transgressors. Now Jesus defends the transgressors to the LORD God. To fulfill His plans for salvation for His chosen people the LORD God willed that Jesus go through pain and death. Jesus was given seven rewards from the LORD God for His soul being poured out unto death, His being numbered with the sinners, His bearing the sins of many, and Jesus making intercession for the transgressors they were:
1. He shall see his seed
2. He shall prolong his days
3. The pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand
4. He shall see the travail of his soul and be satisfied
5. He will justify many through his knowledge
6. He will receive a portion reserved for the “great”.
7. He will divide the spoil with the strong (Isaiah 53:1-12).
His death: The death of Jesus can be compared to the Paschal lamb and the Passover. The memorial observance of the Feast of Passover was scheduled to be held on the day of Christ’s betrayal. The LORD God Willed that Passover be memorialized and remembered forever. Passover is memorializing the day on which the LORD God’s chosen people were passed over by the plague because they sprinkled their door posts with the blood from a paschal lamb. It was the final of the LORD God’s plagues on the Egyptians to cause them to allow the Israelites to depart Egypt for the Promised Land. The Chosen people avoided death of their firstborn as the plague passed through the land of Egypt because they sprinkled the door posts with the blood from a paschal lamb. The LORD God first established His process of “the sacrifice of life, for the avoidance of judgment and death” with the Passover. (Exodus 12:1-14). Jesus linked the feast of the Passover with his betrayal and crucifixion. The substitution of a person’s death for sin for Jesus Christ’s death for all of our sin was a natural progression of the “life sacrificed for sin”, and before that, “life sacrificed for avoidance of judgment and death”. Passover revealed to man the LORD GOD’S Will concerning the betrayal and crucifixion of Christ. The LORD God Willed that Jesus Christ’s life be sacrificed for sin, and for it to be linked to Passover to signify the relationship. Religious people assembled together to decide what to do about Jesus Christ. They were the religious leaders among the LORD God’s chosen people. Priests, scribes, elders and the High Priest, Caiaphas. The assembled group of people wanted to take Jesus indirectly, without drawing attention to the act. When they had seized Jesus in a subtle way, they wanted to kill him. (Matthew 26:2-4). The group gathered against Jesus and desired His death because Jesus Christ had preached that the kingdom of God was going to be taken from them and given to somebody else. In their minds Jesus was prophesizing the loss of their high position and control of their people when they lost their cushy religious leadership roles. (Matthew 21:42-46). They were fearful the people would become upset because it came on the Holy day on the Feast of Passover. (Matthew 26:5). The group changed their mind and decided to seize Jesus during the Holy Days of Passover because one of Jesus Christ’s very own disciples went to them and offered to deliver Jesus. This act of betrayal by Judas Iscariot, allowed them to appear innocent before the people. Their agreement with Judas gave them the opportunity to seize Jesus and remain blameless. (Matthew 26:14-16).The devil put the betrayal of Jesus into Judas Iscariot’s heart, and eventually entered into his body to accomplish the deed. (John 13:2, 27; Luke 22:3). Judas was drawn away from Jesus because of his own lust, and he was enticed. When he was enticed, it brought forth the sin of betrayal. When he was finished with his betrayal, it brought forth Jesus Christ’s death. We know The LORD God never tempts a man with evil. (James 1:13-15).When Judas went to the assembled religious leaders, he asked “What will you give me”for the deliverance of Jesus Christ to them. His lust brought him to the leaders and enticed his betrayal. The religious leaders “covenanted” with Judas Iscariot and paid him thirty pieces of silver for his part. (Matthew 26:15).
His Resurrection: Proof thereof: Three days later, on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene come early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulcher, and saw the stone taken away from the sepulcher. She ran to Simon Peter, and to the other disciples and told them someone had taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher and she didn’t know where they laid Him. Peter and the other disciples went to the sepulcher. The disciples saw the linen clothes lying, yet there was no body of Jesus. The napkin that was about the head of Jesus was not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. (John 20:1-7). There was a great earthquake and the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door of the sepulcher and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and His raiment white as snow. The keepers became as dead men out of fear. When Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the sepulcher at the end of Sabbath, the told the women not to fear, the angel knew that they were seeking Jesus, which was crucified. The angel said that Jesus was not here for He is risen. The angel told them to come see the empty tomb then go quickly and tell His disciples that Jesus was risen from the dead and goes before them into Galilee. And there is where they would see Jesus. (Mathew 28:1-7).
His enemies: When the guards came into the city, and showed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. When they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, saying they were to say His disciples came by night, and stole Him away while the guards slept. So the guards took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. (Matthews 28:11-15).
Many infallible proofs: Jesus showed His disciples His hands and His side. The disciples were glad, when they saw the Lord. Thomas did not believe it was Jesus standing before him so Jesus told Thomas to reach his finger, and to behold His hands; and reach Thomas’s hand, and thrust it into His side: and not to be faithless, but believing. (John 20:20, 27). Jesus showed Himself alive after His passion to many as infallible proof that indeed Jesus had arisen. For forty days He was seen and spoke of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. (Acts 1:3).
Apostolic preaching: Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that Jesus was taken one must one be ordained to be a witness with the disciples of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:22). Great power was given to the apostles who witness the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all (Acts 4:33). Mary Magdalene: Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. (Mark 16:9).
Other women: And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him. (Matthew 28:9). Two disciples: And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus Himself drew near, and went with them. (Luke 24:13-15).
Simon Peter: The two rose up and returned to Jerusalem and found the eleven gathered together and said to them, ìThe Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon.î (Luke
24:34).
Ten apostles: Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, saying, Peace be unto you. But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. (John 20:19, 24).
Eleven apostles: And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. (John 20:26).
Apostles at Sea of Tiberias: Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. (John 21:1).
500 brethren: Jesus was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.(1 Corinthians 15:6).
All the apostles: The apostles witnessed Jesus being carried up into heaven. (Luke 24:51). While Jesus had finished speaking to the apostles and while they were watching Jesus was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. (Acts 1:9).
Paul: Last of all Jesus was seen by Paul also, as of one born out of due time. For Paul said he was the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. (1 Corinthians 15:8-9).
James: Jesus was seen by James after He was seen by the five hundred brethren, then of all the apostles. (1 Corinthians 15:7).
Timothy: Consider what Timothy said regarding the Resurrection of Christ: The Lord gives understanding in all things. Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to the gospel. Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound. Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s. It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him; if we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us; if we do not believe, He abides faithful, Jesus cannot deny Himself. Shun profane and vain babblings, for they will increase unto more ungodliness. (2 Timothy 2:7-16).
His exaltation: The LORD God has highly exalted Jesus, and given Him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11). The LORD God exalted Jesus with His right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. (Acts 5:31). Jesus was exalted by the right hand of God the Father. We have received the promise of the Holy Spirit that was send forth by the LORD God because Jesus asked for the Comforter to be sent to His own. Jesus is sitting on the right hand of the Father. (Acts 2:33-36).
His priestly intercession: Jesus is able to save those to the uttermost that come unto the LORD God by Jesus. Jesus lives to make intercession for those. Jesus is an high priest who is holy, harmless (without guile or fraud, harmless, free from guilt, fearing no evil from others, distrusting no one), undefiled (free from that by which the nature of a thing is deformed and debased, or its force and vigor impaired), separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. Jesus does not need to make daily sacrifices, as other priests, because He offered Himself up once for the sacrifice. Now we have an high priest who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. Every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that Jesus have somewhat also to offer. Jesus has obtained a more excellent ministry, He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. (Hebrews 7:25-8:6). Jesus died, and was risen and is at the right hand of the LORD God, who also makes intercession for us. (Romans 8:34).
His return: The Second Coming of Christ:
The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night. Everyone will say peace and safety then sudden destruction will come, like the travail upon a woman with child; and there shall be no escape. Be thankful we are children of the light live in the light and are not in the darkness. Therefore be watchful and be sober. (1 Thessalonians 5:2). In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we gather together, and His spirit, and with the power of Jesus Christ to rescue those that had been delivered into satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. (1 Corinthians 5:5). The heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat with the coming of the day of GOD. (2 Peter 3:12). That Day when Jesus shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe, because the testimony of the Apostles and disciples were believed in that day. (2 Thessalonians 1:10 ). Those that reject Jesus, and does not receive His words, has one that judges him: The words that Jesus spoke, that very same shall judge in the last day. (John 12:48).
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ will come as a thief in the night. So we must keep ourselves perfectly until that day comes. When they say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3).
Jesus Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto those that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28). The coming of the Son of man will be immediately after the tribulation of the last days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall give her light, and the star shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. (Matthew 24:29). Jesus told us of the things that are to come so we might have peace in Jesus. The hour has come that we shall be scattered every man to his own and shall leave Jesus alone. Jesus is not alone, because the Father is with Him. The world shall have tribulation, but be good cheer Jesus has overcome the world. (John 16:32-33). Jesus is send forth His disciples as sheep in the midst of wolves, the disciples of Christ should be wise as serpents, and harmless (of the mind, without a mixture of evil, free from guile, innocent, simple) as doves. Beware of men, they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues, and bring you before governors and kings for the sake of Jesus and for a testimony against them and the gentiles. When you are delivered up don’t worry how or what to speak, it shall be given you that same hour what you shall speak. It is not you that speaks but the Holy Spirit that speaks in you. Brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child, and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. We shall be hated by all men for in the name of Jesus. (Matthew 10:16-22). Those that are contentious (self-seeking), and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish shall be upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jesus first, and also of the Gentiles. (Romans 2:8-9). We are justified by faith, we have peace with the LORD God through our Lord Jesus Christ whom we have access by faith into this grace and rejoice in hope of the glory of the LORD God. We glory in tribulations knowing that tribulation works patience (produces perseverance), and patience, character, and character, hope. (Romans 5:1-4). It is the LORD God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those which are in any trouble (tribulation), by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of the LORD God. The sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation (comfort) also abounds by Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:4-5).
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:30). The Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with his angels, and then He shall reward every man according to his works. (Matthew 16:27). The LORD God will pour on the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplications. They shall look on Jesus, whom they have pierced, and shall mourn for Him. The land shall mourn, every family apart (by itself) and their wives apart (by itself), the family of the house of Nathan, their wives apart (by itself), the family of the house of Levi apart (by itself), and their wives apart (by itself), the family of Shimei apart (by itself), and their wives apart (by itself). (Zechariah 12:10, 12).
Jesus told the court of the Sanhedrin that here after they shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. (Matthew 26:64). Jesus will come with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him, all kindred of the earth shall wail because of Him. (Revelation 1:7). For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of the LORD God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then those that are alive and remains shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:52).
