Behavioral Walk and Conduct of Women of Christ
Women of Christ need to walk in the obedience of the LORD God and love one another and have a correct view of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our behavior and the way we conduct our journey through this life is a testimony to those around us. It is important that we walk in righteousness, holiness and love and trust in the Lord. We should no longer walk as gentiles but as new human beings.
The behavioral walk and conduct of a Women of Christ is behavior that does not just please those around them but more important it is right conduct that is pleasing before the LORD God. We belong to the LORD God and obtain mercy. We are asked to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul. Our manner of life, conduct, and behavior must be honest among the Gentiles that is the unbelieving so when they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify the LORD God in the day of visitation, that is act by which God looks into and searches out the ways, deeds character, of men, in order to adjudge them their lot accordingly, whether joyous or sad. (#1984 Strong, 2001). (1 Peter 2:10-12).
Many times you hear women say that they do something out of love. The love of a person governs their behavior or conduct. What does the Bible have to say about the behavior of love? Love does not have to act unbecomingly nor does love seek her own, is not easily provoked, and does not think or take into account evil. Does not rejoice in iniquity or unrighteousness of heart and life; instead rejoices in the truth. The truth is that love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. (1Corinthians 13:5-7).
Love should abound in more and more knowledge especially the knowledge of things ethical and divine and in all judgments which is in perception, not only by the senses but by the intellect cognition, discernment especially of moral discernment in ethical matters. Love should be able to recognize as genuine after examination, things that are excellent; that you may be sincere found pure and without offence of not leading others to sin by your mode or behavior of conduct of life till the day of Christ. Women of Christ cannot be seen as a stumbling of blocks to those they love. They must be filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:9-11).
We, as Women of Christ, have been command in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that we withdraw ourselves from every Christian that walks disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of the followers of Christ. We know how we are to behave and conduct our journey through life and that is not disorderly to be neglectful of our duties that have been put before us. (2 Thessalonians 3:6-7).
Titus 2:9-11 tells us we are to avoid foolish questions and matters of controversy. We are also to avoid genealogies, contentions or strife, and strivings or quarrel over the law because these are unprofitable and vain, which is devoid of force, truth, success, result and useless, of no purpose. Women of Christ are to reject a man that is a heretic which is controversial factious, and a follower of a false doctrine. They are subverted and sins and being condemned of himself.
The characteristic of the walk of the Women of Christ should be to:
Follow after a new life. We should know that we are buried with Jesus Christ by baptism into death; that like Jesus we will be raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, and should walk in the newness of life. We should conduct our journey of life in the new state. This new state is that which the Holy Spirit places us so as to produce the new state which is eternal life. (Romans 6:4). We have been newly created in the image of a righteous and Most Holy LORD God. This means we also should be righteous and holy. We have been charged that our journey should no longer walk as the Gentiles walk in the futility of their mind. We must remember we have been taught of the truth in Jesus and put off the old behaviors which is corrupted according to deceitful lusts and renew in the spirit of our mind. We are to put on a new created image of righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speaking the truth to everyone: for we are members one of another. (Ephesians 4:17-25).
The journey through this life should be walked by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7). We are not to look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18). This is such an important point because our eyes can deceive us often. Our eyes can either be our honor or our dishonor. Hebrew 11:1 gives the best definition of what faith is: ìNow faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. “We are to walk in the Spirit. It is by walking in the Spirit and we shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. The flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that we cannot do the things that we would.” (Galatians 5:16-17).
We as dear children of the LORD God should walk in love, as Jesus also has loved us, and has given Himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God. We should avoid fornication and all uncleanness, or covetousness which is both physical and in a moral sense: the impurity of lustful, luxurious, profligate living of impure motives. Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. We know, that no whoremonger which is a man who prostitutes his body to another’s lust for hire, nor unclean person, nor covetous man which is greedy man for gain, who is an idolater who is a worshipper of false gods used of any one even Christian, participant in any way in the worship of the heathen, especially one who attends their sacrificial feasts. They cannot inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. We must always walk as children of light. (Ephesians 5:1-8).
It is important to remember who we are and who we walk with in this journey through life. We must also remember the end goal for us. All that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Know that the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but those that do the will of the LORD God abide forever. (1 John 2:16-17).
We, as Women of Christ have an anointing from the LORD God, and we know all things. We know the truth and there is no lies are of the truth. Those who deny that Jesus is the Christ are a liar. 1 John 22 reminds us that the antichrist is the one who denies both the Father and the Son. Whoever denies Jesus Christ does not have the LORD God; those that acknowledge Jesus Christ also have the LORD God. This is why we must always walk in the Lord and allow Him to abide in us and continue in the Lord Jesus Christ and the LORD God and the teachings we have learned from the beginning of our walk with Him. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. (1 John 2:20-25).
We are Women of Christ we have been taught and anointed to be faithful to the LORD. We do have the truth that has been taught to us through this anointing not by the teachings of man, but the teaching of the LORD. We can live in confidence of His coming and that we are ready armed with the truth. Amen Come LORD Jesus!
