Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish. Jonah endangered everyone on the ship because of his disobedience.

The LORD God Calls Jonah
Jonah ran away. The LORD needed him to do something for him and he ran away. There was no argument, Jonah just rose up to flee. Many Christian of today runs away when the LORD calls them. They would rather face the unknown that to do what the LORD needed.
Introduction of Jonah
The prophet Jonah shows the grace of the LORD God is greater even when a prophet is reluctant to obey. Jonah was disobedient to the direction of the LORD. We all learn about the love, compassion and the grace that was given to Jonah. This same love, compassion and the grace of the LORD belongs to us also as His children.
