Anatomically exposed chocolate Jesus offends Christians - 03/30/2007 With predictable carnal timing, the an exhibit featuring a 6-foot, anatomically correct, chocolate sculpture of a purported Jesus Christ is on display inside Manhattan's Roger Smith Hotel for the Easter Sunday. The wasteful and wicked artwork was created from more that 200 pounds of milk chocolate, featuring Christ with his arms outstretched and without a loincloth. The artist, Cosimo Cavallaro, best known for his quirky work with food as art, is displaying his creation in the Lab Gallery, inside the hotel. The gallery's creative director, Matt Semler, said the Lab and the hotel were overrun with angry telephone calls and e-mails, and is now considering their options.
