17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, (Ephesians 1:17-19 AV)596.Accomplished by the power of the LORD GOD - The working of the LORD GOD's mighty power allows you to be spiritually resurrected. Through the Spirit of Wisdom, you can gain new knowledge of the LORD GOD, and your understanding of all things spiritual will be enlightened. Your inheritance as a saint into the riches of the LORD GOD's glory is a result of the power of the God. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:13-17 AV)597. Accomplished by the light of Jesus Christ - When you are baptized in Christ, then arise from the dead into the resurrection of eternal life in Christ, you are given light. Light comes from Jesus Christ. With your light, everything is made manifest. This means that all things are rendered apparent and made known to you. By using your light, you are able to walk carefully around the obstacles. A fool does not walk perfectly because he does not know what the LORD GOD's Will is. A wise man understands the Will of the LORD GOD, because he has the light to discern perfect from flawed and the truth from the false. A wise man is able to determine the proper time to accomplish all things to the Will of the LORD GOD through the use of his light. 19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: 20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. (Ezekiel 11:19-20 AV)598. Accomplished through the new heart by the Holy Ghost - You are given a new heart and the Holy Ghost upon your resurrection in Christ following your baptism. This enables you to walk in the LORD GOD's statutes and ordinances and to do them. The new heart and the Holy Ghost allows you to be one of His people, and it allows Him to be your God. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24 AV) 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John 11:25-26 AV)599. Spiritual resurrection gives eternal life - When you are called to Jesus Christ by the LORD GOD, and you hear his Word, and believe that the LORD GOD sent him, and profess that belief through the Baptism in Christ, you are spiritually resurrected. As a result of your spiritual resurrection, you will have everlasting life. When you live in Jesus Christ, you can never die. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4 AV)600. Spiritual resurrection delivers from death - You cannot be resurrected unless you first die in the Baptism of Christ. Once you are spiritually resurrected by the glory of the LORD GOD, you are able to walk in a newness of life. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. (Romans 6:13 AV)601. Spiritual resurrection allows righteous acts - When you are spiritually resurrected, your works become righteous. They no longer are unrighteous from sin, but are made alive through the yielding of yourself to the LORD GOD. Through this yielding, you become an instrument in the LORD GOD's hand for His righteousness. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. (Acts 26:18 AV)602. Spiritual resurrection delivers from Satan's power - Once you have been spiritually resurrected, your eyes are opened and turn from darkness to light. The power of Satan is removed, and the power of the LORD GOD takes control of you. Through this exchange in power, you are able to receive forgiveness of your sins by the LORD GOD. You are also given inheritance with those who are made holy by faith in Jesus Christ. 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. (Philippians 3:10-11 AV)603. Spiritual resurrection makes power known - When you are spiritually resurrected, you have the awareness of the sufferings and death of Jesus Christ, and the power of his resurrection. You join the Lord Jesus Christ in a fellowship of his suffering and death through your baptism, and understand the LORD GOD's power as you are raised from the dead. |
